Placement Participation Program
If you need to find a good home for a cat, dog, or rabbit, Cats In Need may be able to help. We can refer you to local vets who perform low-cost spay and neuter for cats, dogs, and rabbits, and low-cost FELV testing for cats. Once these procedures have been completed, you can be placed on a waiting list for a available spot at one of our weekend adoption shows. You must be able to foster the animal during the week.
The steps that you need to follow are:

1. Have the animal spayed or neutered (all animals) and tested for FELV (cats only).

2. Call Cats In Need and leave your name, phone number and information about the animal on our voice-mail system. Note: We are all volunteers, so we may not be able to call you back immediately. Don't worry, you will be placed on a waiting list and be called when space is available.

3. Bring the animal and copies of all medical records to the weekend adoption show when notified by a Cats In Need representative.

4. If your animal is not adopted that weekend, you must pick them up and foster them until the next adoption show.

Cats In Need is a no-kill rescue group, and therefore our shelter is always full. But while we cannot take in cats or dogs on a permanent basis, we can work together to find your animal a good home.
